Business: How to Network - for Developers and business owners: Steve Herzberg

Learn from Steve about the importance of marketing and networking. Steve will be giving tips about how developers can build up their network to help grow their business.

In a highly engaging presentation Steve will be covering:

• How to get the most out of attending an event

• Why it’s so important to build your network

• Appropriate behaviour at a function or networking event

• Building rapport with people who are different to you

• Tips for starting conversations with people you don’t know

• How to remember people’s names

• Are you a stalker - the rules on staying in touch with new people you meet

Steve Herzberg is the MD of NRG Solutions. Steve is one of Australia’s most engaging speakers. He has, over the past few years worked closely with Microsoft as a speaker coach for Tech Ed. He regularly speaks on growing your business and provides sales coaching for people looking for proven strategies for success.



Technology: Content Management Systems - Craig Bailey covering Enterprise Content Management (ECM), Web Content Management (WCM) and general Content Management Systems (CMS) at a high level, and looking at a few of the popular players in enterprise, business and personal scenarios.

Meets from 5:55pm on the last Wednesday of every month. First talk usually commences at 6:30pm.

We usually finish up around 8:30pm but you are always welcome to hang around afterwards and chat.

No charge, all we ask is for you to hand out your business cards

The Sydney Business & Technology User Group (a.k.a. SBTUG pronounced es-bee-tugh) meets at Microsoft headquarters:

Pizza and drinks are provided (it's all free)

Note - if you come after 6:00pm you will need to call security to let you in - the number to call will be on a notice at the door. If you can't contact them, give Craig a call on 0413 489 388.
